So, last week was finishing week and now you ask, did I finish something? I did indeed, I finished enough that I can now cast on new things without feeling guilty. Not that I would have felt guilty anyway but still, it feels good to be able to let go of things and to free up some needles. Some things I can’t show you yet but I can show you these.

One pair of wrist warmers that for some reason didn’t line up the pattern as expected, instead of mirroring each other, the pattern is sort of upside down one one wristwarmer. It’s still pretty but I don’t know how that happened.

On this pair though, the pattern is mirrored as anticipated. I still don’t know what happened on the first pair.

My co-worker ordered a pair of wrist warmers from me to give to her PhD student a couple of years ago. Apparently the student really liked her wrist warmers because in the beginning of September she asked if I could make her two more pairs in her favorite colors – brown, beige and turquoise.

I made about five pairs of this pattern two years ago, then it was out of my system but it’s a quick knit and it’s been long enough for it to be interesting again so I said yes, of course I could make her more wrist warmers. No one should be cold on my watch anyway.
