To cheer us all up

Snow_Princess-2

It’s Friday, yay, but it’s also raining and not very fun at all (which, on one hand is actually good since I need to knit on my lace but still, the weather is boring) so I figure we all need something to cheer us up.

I hereby present to you Genevieve’s raspberry sherbet dress. It is a pink merino dress that is probably super warm and very, very pretty.

It’s tied around the belly with a brown ribbon and I’ve seen pictures of sweet Genevieve and the dress seems to fit her perfectly.

It was fun to knit and much faster than I had imagined even though I had to take a break in the middle due to some urgent projects. I think the sleeves too one evening each or something. (Good for me since me and sleeves are not always friends.)

The yarn was a delight to work with and I still have some left, we’ll see what it ends up to be.

This is a winter dress and Genevieve got it for Christmas. I can’t believe how cute it turned out. It’s pretty, warm and still roomy enough so she can play in it and move comfortably. Plus the color looks adorable on her, it matches her features lovely. I’m pretty sure she likes it (even though I happen to know for a fact that she liked the mechanical cat toy that could somersault even better but that’s as it should be).

Now, tell me if this didn’t brighten up your Friday.
